WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHY, AND WOW
“I couldn’t see the Extrembox for the crowds – the hype was real!”
Experience has taught us that it takes three good big sleeps to fully recover from Kendal Mountain Festival, and this year’s four-day megashift really pushed that theory to the max. Then again, comments like that up there, landing on the ACM ‘Gram to praise our graft for Berghaus, helped to speed up the 2025 healing process exponentially.
Cramming Berghaus’ 60 years of untouchable British mountaineering heritage into a plot the size of a (large) parking space was another delicious KMF conundrum. The solution, of course, was installing a handmade, hand-sprayed fluro yellow-green phone box, complete with professional-grade hidden rain room testing facilities and athlete voice-over, right by the entrance of Europe’s leading outdoor community gathering. Obviously.
We’ve got the on-the-ground anecdotes, reams of social media sentiment, and organiser kudos, to confidently claim our Extrembox as the biggest and brightest highlight of this year’s wet weekender. But we’ve also got the post-event wrap email from our client to prove the ACM’s unflappable bring-it-to-life process is just as head-turning.
From the first synaptic flurries of a flagship concept back in mid-summer through to helming the final on-site session, by way of contractor collaborating, touchpoint designing, big media and KOL hyping, some very unique haulage solution finding, and juuuust the right amount of client comms throughout the four-month process, we had this one coolly, calmly, and creatively dialled.
