Like all British skiers and snowboarders, we have a special relationship with the French mountains.
Over the years we’ve necked toffee vodka on the Rondpoint terrace and pioneered freeride runs in Les Arcs. We’ve raced down a moonlit Sarenne in Alpe d’Huez, and partied with Bez at the first Snowbombing Festival. At one point we even ran Whitelines snowboarding magazine from a chalet in Meribel.
So when French Mountains, the agency responsible for promoting French ski resorts to Brits, asked us to come up with a campaign to help subvert a few Franco-British stereotypes, it was right up our boulevard.
Dipping into that unrivalled wealth of market knowledge and experience, we decided to use creative storytelling to break new ground in the way travel destinations are marketed on social media.
Take our first campaign, 2016’s ‘Overheard in French Ski Resorts’, which affectionately sent up both parties and snagged just shy of a million views, as well as massive engagement stats.
The follow-up, ‘15 Beginner Mistakes that Skiers Make’, was an even bigger success, continuing the theme and eventually clocking up a whopping 1.7million views.
Later, the campaign was officially recognised with a clutch of Travel Marketing awards in the process.
Original, funny, myth-busting storytelling for a mass audience.
