When something works, why change it? The success of last year’s FollowCam project for our client French Mountains proved we were onto a good thing. So, naturally, we decided to do it again.

It’s an idea that’s simple, innovative and most of all, just a whole lot of fun. Ski Sunday’s Ed Leigh had one chance to find and ride a perfect line at a different French resort each lunchtime and we livestreamed it to Facebook. No edits, no retakes. That's it. 

The first trip saw Ed and cameraman Johno Verity hit Val d’Isere, Tignes and Les 2 Alpes in some incredible early season conditions.

MPORA and Crystal Ski Holidays got on board with us as media partners this year, helping to beam Ed’s adventures out to about 700,000 viewers.  BBC Sport also loved the idea, streaming masterclasses with Ed each day for the three days. With some solid engagement across social media, it’s clear this is a format that works and puts our audiences right there alongside the action.
