Ollie Connelly and Sophie Malcolm Join

October 2017 was a big month for #38ShipStreet, with the addition of two new shredders, Oliver Connelly and Sophie Malcolm.

Ollie joined the fold as our new junior account executive, bringing with him a background in marketing and journalism, as well as a five-year stint with British Army Snowboarding.

He grew up skiing Zugspitze in Germany before moving to snowboarding and generally developing a healthy passion for all things sideways. As an adult, that’s manifested into a quiver of longboards, surfboards and snowboards that could kit out a small army.  

He’s helping the PR team out with his impeccable knowledge of all things snowboarding, keeping our social media accounts up to scratch, and being the glue that holds team ACM together.

Soph’s outdoor pursuits kicked off at the age of five in Australia, when she became a member of her local volunteer ski patrol’s Mini Squad (it’s totally a thing), before going on to race competitively throughout her school years. Growing up in the mountains near Melbourne also got Soph dabbling in surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding and skating – all to varying degrees of success and injury.

She came to Ship Street HQ with five years of experience in broadcast journalism, video, social and online content for global media outlets.  

Soph is working across our action sports and adventure travel accounts, including adidas TERREX and France Montagnes.
